DAY 01: CUSCO-CLOUD FOREST - PAITITI LODGE


Leaving from Cusco early in the morning in our comfortable bus. Ascend to the heights of Paucartambo. On the way visit the funeral towers or Chullpas Ninamarca. Then descend through the mysterious cloud forest full of beautiful orchids, heliconias and primitive ferns. Stopping to give you the opportunity to witness the cock of the rock (Rupícola peruviana) in the mating ritual. There are also opportunities to observe trogons (Trogon sp.) And more. We may see the only South American bear, the spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus). In the afternoon we arrive at the port of Atalaya where we board the boat 30 minutes Paititi Lodge where we stay overnight in our typical hostel bathrooms and showers.

DAY 02: PAITITI LODGE - BOCA MANU

After a delicious breakfast the group continued their journey by boat to navigate the Madre de Dios river. On the way we see a great variety of birds such as herons, kingfishers and ever present vultures of which the most spectacular is the condor of the jungle, the king of the vultures (Scarcoramphus potato) and Jaguar (Panthera onca). At noon a brief stop in the village of Boca Manu to rest and then continue our journey on the mighty Madre de Dios River to arrive at the Lodge of Boca Manu. Typical night in Lodge bathrooms and showers.

DAY 03: BOCA MANU - LIMONAL - COCHA OTORONGO


- The trip continues and you begin to see why Manu is so famous for its wildlife. Riverfront observed groups of turtles, white caimans (Caiman cocodrylus) or perhaps some capybaras (Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris) and more. In the afternoon we arrived at our camp located in the Otorongo, shortly after we will organize a walk to visit the lake and the observation tower from where we have the opportunity to observe the wolves of the river. Here in Manu the animals have never been persecuted by hunting men. Overnight in camp SAFARI (beds). Showers and toilets available.

DAY 04: COCHA OTORONGO - COCHA SALVADOR - COCHA OTORONGO.


The group visit Cocha Salvador today is 30 minutes from Otorongo. We visited the paddling silently on a catamaran that gives us the possibility to observe the wolves of the river again, and a variety of strange birds like cock Sultana (Porphyrula Martinique) or Agami Heron (Agami Agamia) Later we walked in the main trail guide to learn the operation and the secrets of the rainforest. In the afternoon we return to our camp at Cocha Otorongo. Overnight in camp on roof platforms. Showers and toilets available. Optional night walk.


DAY 05: COCHA OTORONGO - BOCA MANU.

 

Today we awoke to the howling of the howler, unfortunately we have to begin our return to Boca Manu. An optional night walk around the Lodge. Overnight in lodge. Showers and toilets available.

DAY 06: BOCA MANU - PAITITI LODGE.
We continue to return by boat to the lodge in the way we have again the option to see many birds Overnight in lodge. Showers and toilets available.

DAY 07: PAITITI LODGE - CUSCO.


We return by boat to watchtower then we trasferimos the bus to Cusco and on the way back we can see variety of flora and fauna.

Conservation Rules.

 

Our passengers must meet the following rules for the proper use, comfort and enjoyment of the trip to the area of Tourism and Recreation Manu.

 

1. Staying in the right place at the program and permission.

2. Visit only authorized areas

3. Do not interfere in the activities of park rangers and researchers

4. No contact with native people and respect their customs.

13. Do not destroy or write or rayes signs, cans, or other infrastructure.
